‘I took Dugan’s class because my husband had just passed away, leaving me with quite a bit of woodworking equipment. I wanted to learn to use the various tools safely, and Dugan’s class was perfect for that. He was very patient and safety-oriented and really knows his way around the equipment. I never felt intimidated and had a lot of fun making the Adirondack chair. There were only two of us in the class, which made for a lot of one on one attention. My ability to sew came in handy, especially when using the band saw. I think anyone would enjoy a really fun, safe, learning experience taking a class with Dugan. On top of it all, you get to take home a beautiful piece of furniture at the end of the week that you made.
I enjoyed building the Morris Chair and these classes so much I signed up for more.
I have wanted to create a narrow cabinet with shelves and drawers for a long time and finally got the opportunity to do so with Dugan in his incredible woodshop. The instruction, encouragement and enthusiasm Dugan gave me were priceless. He had state of the art tools I could dream of using, yet he also was able to the me techniques I could recreate with my tools in my limited workspace. Not only did I come home with the cabinet I designed, but also I got to spend a week with a lovely couple, in a beautiful environment.
Dugan, I can’t thank you enough, I learned so much my head might explode.
I had a great experience in your shop and am looking forward to returning for some more classes. Thank you!
Dugan: I want to say thanks for my great woodworking week in your facility. I learned a lot of new techniques (Kreg fastening, vacuum bagging, laminating, routing, and many others) through my cabinet project and our lunchtime discussions as well. Your class experience tops all the others I have done – and I plan to take more of your classes. Thank you again!
