THE SHOP

When we decided to start our school, the shop became a central focus.  

 

First, we needed to find the right location and that was an easy choice.  Grass Valley is located in the beautiful Sierra foothills. A town with a rich history dating back to the California Gold Rush, full of friendly people, interesting architecture, parks and great restaurants.  We are located in the tall pines on five acres just three miles out of town.  

 

The design of the shop is maybe even more important than the location.  We wanted to build a large, spacious shop with an abundance of natural light and a comfortable work envirment year round.  It is my belief that your workplace should be inspirational, not just for me, but for everyone who works there.  I have always been attracted to large projects and this one was especially exciting. From clearing the land, to grading the pad, all the way to final finish, I was having  the time of my life building my dream shop.
